Efektivitas Teknik Shaping terhadap Pola Tidur Adaptif pada Individu Dewasa dengan Insomnia: Studi Kasus Intervensi Berbasis Perilaku

Insomnia is a sleep disorder often experienced by adult, characterized insomnia start from people feel difficulty initiating sleep, frequent waking at night, and poor sleep quality. One of the contributing factors is unhealthy sleep habits, such as the use of gadgets before bed. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of shaping techniques in shaping more adaptive sleep behavior in individuals with insomnia. The method used was a case study with a single participant who was purposively selected based on the criteria for insomnia according to DSM-5 and PPDGJ III. Data were collected through the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) questionnaire, sleep diary, and daily sleep behavior checklist. The intervention was conducted for 14 days, with sleep targets that were gradually increased and reinforced with positive rewards. The results showed an improvement in sleep quality, a decrease in the frequency of nighttime sleep disturbances, and less reliance on external assistance before bedtime.
